The compact NFC sticker easily attaches to personal accessories such as mobile phones, wallets or card holders, allowing customers to make quick tap-and-pay transactions at contactless Point-of-Sale (POS) terminals without having to carry a physical debit card.
SIB Paytag Sticker supports contactless payments for everyday transactions, without the need for a PIN for purchases up to ₹5,000. For higher value POS transactions above ₹5000, PIN verification is mandatory, ensuring better security. SIB Paytag can be used on all contactless payment terminals. Customers can also make online e-commerce payments using the SIB Paytag Sticker by viewing the card number, expiry date and CVV securely via the SIB Mirror+ app, a press release said.
“Digital payments are rapidly redefining the way customers transact in their daily lives. With the launch of the RuPay Contactless SIB Paytag Sticker, we offer a simple yet powerful solution that combines convenience, speed and security,” said Sony A, Senior General Manager (SGM) and Chief Information Officer (CIO).
