Sony World Photography Awards announce the 10 winners of the open competition category

The World Photography Organization He unveiled the 10 category winners and photographers selected in the shortlist of the competition Open 2025 Dei Sony World Photography Awards. Now in his 18th edition, the open competition is celebrating the narrative power of a single image, able to capture for a moment and suggest a broader story. In contrast to the competition dedicated to professionals, to whom the presentation of a portfolio of images for each project is required to participate in the open competition, you only need one photo. This year too, participation in the competition was really great and the 2025 edition registered more than 419,000 images from more than 200 countries and areas. The participants presented their best some photos of 2024 and gave a selection that collects some of the most important photos of last year.

The title of Open Photographer of the Year It is awarded during the Awardceremony planned for April 16. The winner will receive a cash prize of $ 5,000 (USD) and a selection of Sony Digital Imaging equipment. The rewarded and selected images are exhibited in the Somerset House in London from 17 April to 5 May 2025 and then continues in a traveling exhibition, which we hope to see in Italy, as happened in recent years.
