Orlando, Fla.-de Orlando Solar Bears, Echl branch of the Lightning in Tampa Bay, welcomes the return of Veteran Vooruit Aaron Luchuk, who has signed a contract for the 2025-26 season.
Luchuk, 28, is back for his fifth season with the Sun Boers to appear in 236 regular seasonal matches of 2020-25. He is all time of the club of all time in goals (93) and points (223) and is connected to Michael Brodzinski for most assists (130). His 59 points in 72 matches last season were his second most since then at the professional ranks and earned him a place at the Echl Mid-season Eastern Conference All-Star team 2025.
He led the Echl in scoring during the 2020-21 season, placing 74 points (28g-46a), solid-season marks in assists and set points on solar bears, while all-echl First Team Honors also earned.
In his professional career of seven seasons, Luchuk appeared in 314 Echl games with Newfoundland, Brampton and Orlando, 48 American Hockey League matches with Belleville, Toronto, Laval and Hartford, and 44 games between Hockeyallswenskan and Icehl. Luchuk only needs five points to obtain 300 at Echl level.

Prior to his professional career, the resident of Kingston, Ontario 274 Ontario Hockey League matches played with the Windsor Spitfires and Barrie Colts. During the 2016-17 season, the Spitfires were crowned Memorial Cup champions, where Luchuk scored the winning goal. While splitting time with the Spitfires and the Colts during the 2017-18 season, Luchuk was the scoring leader of the OHL, who achieved 115 points (50G-65A) in 68 games in the regular season, making it the OHL Second Team All-Star Honors and the Leo Lalonde Trophy.
