halls,

Oh, how the days fly by. I cannot for the life of me understand that it is now December.
Crazy tagged, at Christmas. I love Christmas! Especially the magic you felt as a child, the smell of saffron and gingerbread, the Christmas calendar, all the decorations, crafts and anticipation. The only thing now is that you are the one who has to create that feeling. And I pray to God that they will feel nice and warm and that the memory of their Christmases as children will be pleasant. But you never know.

There is also a lot of pressure, especially on us mothers. Often (not always) it is us who bake, buy Advent calendars, decorate, buy Christmas flowers. But then I don’t know if I stand for the feeling, the tension and the happiness. But I hope they feel like you’re genuinely trying…

I remember Christmas as a child as very pleasant. Mom made most of the food, saffron bread, gingerbread dough that had to wait a long time before it was time to bake. Ball cribs and gnomes. We always brought in the tree the day before Christmas, while mother was messing around in the kitchen, we children (four of us) decorated the tree together with father. Once it was decorated, there was a wrapping workshop where everyone wrapped up their clappers and then placed them under the overly decorated tree. I loved it!

I’ve had quite a social week. Tuesday starting with the book club meeting. We are reading The Stack by Annika Norlin. It was good, sometimes a bit difficult to write for my taste, I like painting and beautiful novels. But I loved the interpretations of all the characters and their life stories before, during and after the stack. What I thought was that it would have been perfect as a movie. The only problem was that I went to the restaurant an hour earlier to read it, had a glass of wine and sat there in silence. My God, it was fun! The restaurant is called Bambi, and it was so cozy, tip tip!!

Wednesday is quiet, I coach football for my son’s team, so we had training from 16-17, then we took Oliver’s best friend, went to McDonald’s and bought food and then home.
We had a girls dinner planned for Thursday, at Bar Allegrine. It was also so beautiful, high and low with the donkey and deer. HAHA!

Their gaufrette was divine – must be tasted, so to speak!

It was quiet in the house on Friday. But on Saturday we had a mulled wine party at home. It’s so much fun to celebrate Christmas and invite the people you love together. It was great, packed with both adults and children. Not many photos were taken during the chaos 🙂
Just a small outfit and a small Christmas decorated window.
Sunday – the first Advent was a nice fresh drink, much needed after lots of sweets and cakes on Saturday.

Now have a nice week 🙂

Clean up, yes
