Small stable, large stage for Rose Run Aimee

On most weekday afternoons, Dr. Jill Dentel and James Ehrsam focused on their daily Jobs-Dentel as the owner of a veterinary clinic and Ehrsam as a Township Road Crew Chief but Wednesday will be a bit different thanks to a 3-year-old angriefeulen named Rose Run Aimee.

Rose Run Aimee

On Wednesday afternoon, Rose Run Aimee will be one of the 16 -year -old Merrieveeulen Pacers who participate in the Harness Racing elimination of the 1 Jugette degree in the Delaware County Fairgrounds in Central Ohio. Dentel co-owner of Rose Run Aimee with William Rufenacht, Gene Roth and Jeffrey Bankey, and she is regularly encouraged to take care of the glory with the horse’s trainer, Ehrsam.

And Rose Run Aimee has rewarded their career that juggles in a way that nobody expected a year ago, by going from the Ohio Fair Stakes to the Ohio Sire Stakes to the Grand Circuit. The daughter of Racing Hill-Private Performanc hit the board in 17 of 21 career races, won eight and earned $ 138,746, and twice the same as the track record of Eldorado Scioto Downs for 3-year-old Filly Pacers (1: 49.4) this summer.

Her performances led her connections to pay the additional registration fee of $ 15,000 to get to the Jugette, because the murrivefeulen was originally not collected to the event.

“If you do this like us, we don’t have a stable of 20 horses, we only have a few, this is a one -off deal of the type and we would not let it go,” said Dentel. “We are enthusiastic to be here, and that is the attitude we came to Delaware. Hopefully it is not a one -off thing, but we realize that this could be very good. We are here and we enjoy it. We enjoy a horse we love.”

Training for her 2-year season, Rose Run Aimee was a handful of and her previous trainer and co-owner wanted to sell his share in the Merrieveeulen. Dentel had the opportunity to take 50 percent ownership and offer a new start. After discussing the anti -foolish with Ehrsam, she did that.

“Everyone had written her a little; they thought she was just a madman,” said Dentel. “We took her hoping to have a nice honest horse and ended up with much more. We never thought this would happen in a million years. It is very exciting.”

Last year, Rose Run Aimee won three times at the Ohio Fair Stakes Circuit. This year she brought her game to a whole new level. She rolled through the Steve McCoy series at Scioto and won the final of June 13 in 1: 49.4 to match the track record for 3-year-old Merrieveeulen Pacers. In her next start, also at Scioto, she won for the first time in the Ohio Sire Stakes (after two earlier second place Finishes) and the timer again put in 1: 49.4.

“There is nothing more that this horse likes than racing and more than winning,” said Dentel. “She is 110 percent every day; every training session, every race. Beat on Wood, she never gave us a bad performance. She really likes this. Nothing makes her happier than going to work every day. We tried to perform her two or three months last year, and I think we had the best to work her, what’s best to work on her.”

Not surprisingly, when Rose Run Aimee started to blink her talent, Dentel began to receive offers to sell the mandriffen. That would never happen.

“Nothing will make me happy like them,” said Dentel. “That is why we are here. We are here to have fun with our horse. We are here for the little man who still tries the morning, afternoon and night between a full -time job, who only has a few horses in the shed, and showing that it can be done. It is not easy, but it is possible. This is our one, and she means a lot for many people this summer.”

Rose Run Aimee will compete in the first of the $ 25,000 Jugette elimination on Wednesday. She departs from post two with Ronnie Wrenn Jr. In the sulky. She is the 5-2 morning lines favorite.

The top four finishers of each elimination will return later in the day for the final of $ 280,000.

“We will be nervous and excited, both,” said Dentel. “Fortunately, she doesn’t get nervous. She’s doing it all. It doesn’t matter which race we have placed her, she has been the same horse all year round. We are going to cross our fingers. We have placed well and we hope she needs what is needed by the elimination, and we go out.”

Racing starts at 11 am on Wednesday on the Delaware County Fairgrounds. The Jugette eliminations are races 18 and 19, with the final as 22. For more about the 55th edition of the Jugette and the 80th small brown can from Thursday the Little Brown Jug -website.
