Arne Slot explained how Florian Wirtz is the replacement Liverpool that was needed when Trent Alexander-Arnold ended his contract to move to Real Madrid.

Although Liverpool’s interest in Wirtz goes back for years, it is likely that their decision to move forward with a £ 116 million deal was partially informed by the loss of Alexander-Arnold.
The No. 66 was such a unique talent in its starting role as a right back that was generally expected to lead to a change in how the Reds build their attacks.
