Diego Simeone says he is “calm” about Atletico Madrid’s transfer activities and remains optimistic about a reinforcement before the transfer window closes.
Javi Galan, Carlos Martin, Conor Gallagher and Giacomo Raspadori have all left Atletico this month, with no more players arriving.
Simeone admitted after the 3-0 LaLiga win over Mallorca that he is desperate to make new signings before the window closes next Monday.
It came after sporting director Mateu Alemany said it would take “something special” before Atleti could sign a player.
However, Simeone has played down any suggestions of a rift between himself and Alemany over his party’s lack of incoming activity.
‘There is zero [animosity]Simeone told reporters on the eve of Wednesday’s Champions League match with Bodo/Glimt. “I am calm where I am.
“Anything can happen until the very last day, as I have been saying for 14 years. There can be arrivals and departures.
“It’s about Atletico coming out stronger when the transfer window closes.”

Atleti have won five and drawn one of their past six LaLiga matches, but they are seven and eight points behind Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively.
Due to last week’s 1-1 draw against Galatasaray, they now enter the final round of the Champions League competition phase in twelfth place and one of eight teams with thirteen points.
A top eight finish – and automatic qualification for the last 16 – is still possible for Atletico, but Simeone is not taking Bodo/Glimt lightly after the Norwegians beat Manchester City 4-1 last time out.
“Bodo/Glimt have had some very difficult matches and have played very well away from home,” said Simeone. “They did very well in Dortmund and beat City.”
“The team is playing very well, with good transitions. We will try to win the match with humility and hard work.”
“The Champions League is an opportunity – as we see on this last matchday, because the teams at the bottom want to rise and those at the top want to qualify for the round of 16.
“Other results must go our way [for a top-eight finish]but first we have to get a good result.”
