A doctor has issued an urgent memory to wear SPF when you leave the house after a viral video showed the devastating effects of skipping sun cream.
The Austin Skin Clinic placed a Tiktok, which has now been viewed more than 2.5 million times, which showed the difference in skin color between the arms of a man, who were exposed for 70 years, and his legs that were hidden under clothing.
Responding to the video Dr. Dana Figura, a podiatrist -based podiatrist, said on Instagram: ‘Consider this your sign to wear sunscreen. This man never wore sunscreen on his hands and arms, but he wore trousers every day that protected his legs.
“There is a huge difference here between the risk of aging and skin cancer.”
Not much is known about the non -created man, except that he has worked outside his entire life and has never worn sunscreen.
His arms, which are regularly exposed to powerful UV rays, are covered with fragmentary brown, deeply wrinkled skin, while his legs are pale and dough -like in comparison.
The doctor warns that this shows the effects of not wearing sunscreen for a considerable period.
Most sun creams wear an SPF – Sun protection factor – and a UvA rating that are protection measures against the rays associated with skin damage and cancer.
It has been shown that it immediately increases the risk of developing skin cancer without sun protection.

About 15,000 people in the UK are diagnosed every year with melanoma – the fifth most common cancer of the UK – with the incidence that rises faster than other normal cancer.
A recent study by Cancer Research UK showed that an alarming 87 percent of melanoma cases, the equivalent of 17,100 in the UK, is caused every year by excessive exposure to ultraviolet radiation, either directly from the sun or sunbeds – what they can avoid.
This is because increased UV exposure can damage the DNA in skin cells, which activates mutations that become cancer -like.
From here the cancer can spread to the blood vessels under the skin, enter the bloodstream and spread through the body.
Last year cancer rates reached a record high in the UK, with new diagnoses that increase almost a third in just a decade, according to charity.
According to the NHS website, people must apply sunscreen to prevent burning and at least factor of 30 ‘.
‘Sunscreen increases your risk of skin cancer. Sunscreen does not only happen on vacation. You can burn in the UK, even if it is cloudy, “the site reads.
The Health Service also recommends avoiding the sun when it is at its strongest, between 11 am and 3 pm from March to November and to hide with suitable clothing and sunglasses.
