Shem Rock acknowledges that his debut opponent in the UFC has an unblemished MMA record, but doesn’t have much appreciation for his fighting style. The man known as Shaqueme Rock will make his highly anticipated UFC debut this weekend at UFC Qatar when he fights Nurullo Aliev.

This fight takes place on November 22, and when asked for his thoughts on Aliev’s resume and overall skills heading into this fight, Rock said [via Bowks Talking Bouts],

“He’s intriguing on paper. He’s not intriguing to the eye, boy. He’s boring as hell, sniffing your balls all night, wrestler. All he wants to do is hold you, lie down and pray. He’s not forcing action. He’s not trying to get finishes. He’s not looking for no 50 big bonuses. He’s just here to get another win on his record by stopping you.”

Delving further into his thoughts on the machinations of this matchup, Rock continued [via Bowks Talking Bouts],

“I’m not, brother. Look at my record. I’m a finisher. I’m coming. Not a word of a lie. I’m coming from the first bell to take his chin off and that’s my goal. If he wants to be boring and play the leak and pray game and keep it up, cool. Then I’ll submit him, boy. I don’t mind. I’m not afraid to wrestle. I’m an elite level grappler. If he thinks he’s going to do that, just come and enjoy an easy one.” ride with me, he made a mistake.

“I don’t see him standing next to me and I don’t see him controlling and submitting, or grounding me and pounding me. I really don’t. So personally I see a style like this and I don’t think there’s much to fear. All he can really do is delay a boring decision. But if that’s how he wants to live his career, boy. He’ll be another one of them leaving the UFC as soon as he suffers his first loss, boy. Nobody wants to see that boring. s**t. I’m here to put on a show for the fans and I am looking for the finish as always.”
