Sheffield United are interested in signing Hamza Choudhury from Leicester City this winter, according to a report from The star.
Sheffield United are considering a new move for the Bangladesh international in the upcoming transfer window. SUFC is currently in the Championship relegation zone along with Sheffield Wednesday and Norwich City and are one point away from safety behind Blackburn Rovers.
Choudhury, 28, joined the Blades in January 2025 on loan until the end of the season, making 19 appearances in all competitions for the South Yorkshire team as they reached the play-off final. However, they were defeated by Sunderland at Wembley and missed out on promotion to the Premier League.
In this latest update The star claim Chris Wilder’s side are ‘monitoring’ his situation at Leicester City in the coming months. His contract at the King Power Stadium expires in June 2027, meaning the Foxes are currently under no pressure to let him leave.
The ex-England youth international, who can play in midfield or as a right-back when required, has found his way back into his current club’s plans since returning to pre-season. He has made nine appearances so far this season, eight of which have been in the league, under the management of Marti Cifuentes.
Sheffield United want Hamza Choudhury from Leicester City
Sheffield United could see Choudhury as someone who can strengthen their ranks ahead of the second half of this term. SUFC need to get some more points on the board and pull themselves back from danger after their poor start.
The Loughborough-born man has spent his entire career at Leicester City. He rose through the ranks of the academy and was a regular at various youth levels.
Choudhury made his first-team debut in 2017 against Liverpool in the League Cup. Since then he has made 140 appearances for the Foxes so far, scoring three goals.
He has also been loaned out to Burton Albion and Watford in the past to gain some experience, as well as Sheffield United. Wrexham was linked with him in the summer, according to a report from Football competition Worldbut ultimately nothing came of it on that front.

Will Sheffield United re-sign Hamza Choudhury?
Sheffield United will keep an eye on Choudhury’s future at Leicester City. Time will tell if SUFC can lure him back.
The Blades lost 3-2 at Preston North End for the last time. They were 2-0 up at Deepdale before the Lilywhites fought back to win.
Wilder’s men are back in action this weekend as they look to get back to winning ways. They play Derby County at home to kick off November.
