The Muthoot group has announced the launch of Muthoot Business School (MBS) at Kochi.
The institution was launched by Lok Sabha MP Shashi Tharoor in the presence of group leadership and academic dignitaries.
The launch of MBS is an expansion of the founding vision of Muthoot Group: to empower lives by building institutions of trust. MBS is rooted in this ethos and has been conceptualized as a future management school with academic excellence, business relevance and global exposure, the company said in a release.
Shashi Tharoor praised the visionary step of the Muthoot Group in education and called for managers who are ethically, empathetic and worldwide. He praised MBS for combining academic excellence with Real-World exposure by his work-integrated learning model, pre-PGDM internships and focus on advanced fields such as AI and blockchain. He noted that the institution is unique positioned to produce leaders who are equipped for an evolving global landscape.
Tharoor emphasized the changing role of business in society and emphasized that “the current companies should prioritize for value.” With reference to Mahatma Gandhi’s caution against ‘trade without morality’, he urged the business world to encourage conscience and sustainability. For the inaugural group of students, he offered a powerful message: “You are not only prepared for the market – you are equipped to shape society.
