Shark Tank investor and property queen Maxine Horne will have an extra merry Christmas this year after her Sunshine Coast home sold for a record price.

Ms Horne, the co-founder of Vita Group, listed ‘Maravilla’ earlier this month at 7/56 David Low Way, Sunrise Beach, for sale for $28.5 million after it entered auction.

The property was marketed through Tom Offermann and Cameron Urquhart of Tom Offermann Real Estate and sold in December for an undisclosed price.

Mr Offermann posted on social media on December 22 that the property achieved Noosa’s highest sales price of 2025.

Noosa’s biggest residential sale of the year was 29 Cooran Ct, Noosa Heads, which was snapped up by national builder Paynters chairman Nigel Gardiner in July for $26.845 million.

Mr Offermann said he could not reveal the buyer, seller or sale price of 7/56 David Low Way, but he revealed all parties were very happy with the outcome.

“It’s a feel-good sale,” he said.

“It’s a wonderful way to put the star on the real estate Christmas tree by achieving record sales for one of our clients.”

Property records show Ms Horne bought the 755 sq m property for $12.5 million in 2023 as a vacant block with plans for a three-storey house.

The block was purchased earlier in 2020 by Brisbane entrepreneur Bevan Slattery for $6.65 million.

Mr Offermann and Mr Urquhart marketed ‘Maravilla’ as a “sparkling new, unquestionable delight of global standard” with the latest materials, technology and style.

“The house is brand new and built for sale,” Mr Offermann said.

“It has been built with great effort over the past two and a half years.

“The new owners only need to buy crockery and cutlery.”

Offering views of the ocean and the sound of the surf, the modern home has six bedrooms, six bathrooms, a bar, a wine cellar and a home gym with spa, sauna and cold plunge pool.

An extravagant infinity pool is located on the third level and has built-in custom sunbeds and views of the beach.

The open-plan living areas flow easily to the outdoor entertaining areas, while the master suite features a luxurious bathroom and an oversized dressing room.

Mr Offermann said the sale should signal the high confidence in the Sunshine Coast’s luxury property market.

“We’ve had a rush of sales in the run-up to Christmas, which we often do,” he said.

“People are in the Christmas spirit… and often want to sit down to Christmas dinner with a sale or purchase completed.

“It’s not unusual to have two or three sales on Christmas Eve.”

Ms Horne, a Queensland-based entrepreneur said to be worth $900 million, has bought and sold several luxury properties in south-east Queensland in recent years.

Ms Horne sold a riverside property in New Farm for $18 million in 2024, after buying it for $10.5 million in 2016.

She also bought a luxury sub-penthouse in Newstead for $5.125 million in 2024 and sold an Ascot Queenslander for $4.4 million in 2021.
