Manchester United are enjoying a decent unbeaten run in the Premier League under Michael Carrick and will host Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on matchday 28 of the English top flight on Sunday, March 1 at 2 p.m. local time.
The Red Devils are making a serious bid to finish in the Champions League, thanks in large part to their form of late, and a win over the Eagles would put them in a safer position, especially if Chelsea drop points against Arsenal later in the day.
Here’s a look at how the home side will line up this weekend.
Goalkeeper – Senne Lammens played an excellent match against Everton and will retain his place in the team on Sunday.
Defenders – Diogo Dalot has continued to play at right back in recent weeks and the form has improved and the Portuguese can be deployed in his preferred position again. Meanwhile, Luke Shaw can also keep his place at left-back. Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro could link up in the heart of the backline to round out an unchanged defense.
Sesko back to lead the line
Midfielders – Kobbie Mainoo has enjoyed greater fame under Michael Carrick and will be in contention to start in midfield again for Manchester United. Casemiro, who has a maximum of ten more appearances for the Red Devils before leaving the club, is expected to partner the Englishman in the double twist.
Meanwhile, Bruno Fernandes is expected to keep his place as attacking midfielder. Bryan Mbeumo could replace Amad Diallo on the right flank, while Matheus Cunha could continue to play on the left flank.
Come on – Benjamin Sesko is expected to come into the team to take charge at United after being impressive of late, scoring the winning goal against Everton last Monday.
