Bryan Mbeumo gave the visitors a deserved lead at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after half an hour, but did not extend their lead further.
Spurs improved after the break and eventually leveled in the 84th minute thanks to Mathys Tel’s deflected goal.
Wilson Odobert, who came off the bench at half-time, saw his shot go in off Richarlison’s head in the 91st minute to complete the turnaround.
But the drama was not over yet when Matthijs de Ligt headed in from a corner deep into injury time and both teams saw the win shared.
Sesko is concerned about injuries as Man Utd boss Amorim releases an update
The results extend Man Utd’s unbeaten run to five games in the Premier League, but it came at a cost. Substitute Sesko was denied a potential match-winner late on when Micky van de Ven delivered a superb last-ditch tackle, with the Slovenian striker seemingly injuring himself. The Red Devils had to play the remainder of the match with ten men because they had already made five substitutions.
“We have to see, we think he has a problem, but let’s see,” Ruben Amorim told TNT Sports after the final whistle.
“It’s a bit of frustration, but also proud of the players’ reaction to Tottenham’s second goal.
“This is the tip of the iceberg. We are at the beginning of becoming a strong team, so we still have a lot to do.”

Although there was relief at avoiding defeat, Amorim felt victory was within reach for United.
He said: “During the game we felt like we could take home the three points. But with everything that happened, Harry Maguire and Casemiro came out and conceded two goals… we scored again and it’s a point.”
“If you can’t win, you don’t lose. We did that again. We still have so much to grow as a team, because today was our day to win this match.”
“We have to look at ourselves, we didn’t press with the same intensity, we felt comfortable, but we have to understand that if we had more courage we would kill the game. But sometimes this happens: you have a better first half than the second.”
“We believe in our ability to score goals until the last minute.”
