Allegedly Galatasaray has made a final attempt to find out United’s chase by Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens.

United encloses with Lammens

United initially had no plans to sign a new keeper, unless the sale of players took place or Andre Onana or Altay Bayindir left, but the club’s position now seems to have been shifted.

Onana was dropped from last weekend’s competition day team that defeated Arsenal, where Bayindir got the nod to start between the sticks. Bayindir, however, made the expensive mistake that led to Arsenal’s goal in the 1-0 loss at Old Trafford.

This development apparently pushed United to revise their plans and accelerate their pursuit for Lammens, which has been on their radar for a while. Lammens has emerged as one of the best Shot stoppers in Europe and enjoyed an excellent campaign from 2024/25 with Antwerp.

Fabrizio Romano revealed that United opened conversations with Antwerp about a deal with a value of approximately € 20 million.

The Italian journalist noted that United is progressing in their pursuit and Lammens has given all his approval for a deal to cross the line.

More recently, a report that related to the person of the peoples, both Lammens and United would like to have a quick resolution to the transfer.

Now, The mirror Report that United is about to close a deal for the Belgian, but Galatasaray has tried to hijack the transfer.

Galatasaray tried to use United in Lammens Race

The Mirror reveals: “Manchester United will win the race for the young Belgian keeper Senne Lammens. United has kept an eye on the 22-year-old Royal Antwerp-Stop last year and have concluded a deal so that they will pay £ 16 million plus a package of add-ons.”

“It is understanding that Lammens wants to move to Old Trafford, despite great interest in him from Galatasaray, Inter Milan and Lille.”

“United will now look to seal an agreement with the player, although Turkish Giant Galatasaray has made an 11th hour of offering on Saturday evening to try to steal the 6ft 3in keeper.”

The newspaper adds that Lammens is expected to put Pen on paper with a five -year contract.

The 23-year-old regards a switch to United as an ideal opportunity to fight against the Thibaut Courtois of Real Madrid for a start spot in the national team of Belgium.
