Manchester United have loaned out numerous players this year, like every season.

Some players have stayed at the same club for the entire season, while others began their senior journey in January. As a result, The Peoples Person asked its readers to vote for who they think will be January’s most successful borrower.

Save Kone

35% of readers believe that Sekou Kone will perform best on loan for the rest of the season.

It wasn’t the best of starts, however, as he only played a ten-minute cameo for FC Lausanne-Sport and was disappointingly left out of the Conference League squad. Nevertheless, fans believe that the exciting midfield talent will ultimately prove his worth to the Swiss club.

Harry Amass

23% of readers believed that Harry Amass would have the most success at Norwich City.

This made sense as Amass was incredibly successful at Sheffield Wednesday but was recalled and sent to Norwich City last month. Unfortunately, he suffered a serious injury during training with the Canaries and it appears he will return to Carrington for treatment.

Toby Collyer

After breaking into the first team last season, just like Amass, Collyer was loaned out in the summer.

A combination of injury and an inability to break into the first team saw his loan to West Bromwich Albion cut short. He then joined Hull City in January and 12% of fans think he will get the best loan.

Unfortunately, he has also suffered an injury, but fortunately it is not as serious as Amass’s and he is likely to return to action within a few weeks.

Gabriele Biancheri

The sharp-shooting academy striker was handed his first senior opportunity by Rotherham United in January when he sealed a move to the League One club.

11% of readers believe the young striker will have the best end to the season, and he has played one game in League One so far.

James Scanlon

Surprisingly, only 8% of fans believe the Gibraltar international will get the best loan.

He has already scored his first senior goal for Swindon Town and also has more than 20 games of international experience, proving he can mix it up at senior level.

Jacob Devaney

7% of supporters believed the young Irishman would be the pick of the crop when it comes to January loans.

Devaney has started very well for St Mirren and, like Scanlon, has already scored his first senior club goal for the Scottish Premier League.

Finally, only 4% of fans believe Ethan Wheatley will get the best loan. On the one hand, he has more experience, having already played senior football for Walsall and Northampton in recent months.

He made the move to Bradford City in January but has hardly been productive on his previous loans, so fans may be wary of supporting the 20-year-old on this occasion.
