As the February 2026 reporting season kicks off, attention is once again turning to earnings as ASX-listed companies begin to release their results. This period often brings increased market activity, with stock prices reacting quickly to earnings surprises, guidance updates and commentary on the outlook.
The past two reporting seasons have led to increased volatility and, as a result, significant opportunity. With many companies reluctant to provide guidance in an unstable geopolitical environment, the prospects for earnings surprises are higher this reporting season.
