On Friday night, Jake Paul fell short in his attempt to shock the world. He took on Anthony Joshua in a sanctioned heavyweight boxing match, and although he was able to avoid the big opportunity for a long time, he ultimately fell prey to a sixth-round knockout defeat at the hands of the former world champion.

In the aftermath of the fight, it was confirmed that Paul had suffered a broken jaw, for which he recently underwent successful surgery. Despite such a devastating loss, it certainly seems like ‘The Problem Child’ plans to get back in there once he’s fully healed, and he’ll almost certainly have a big name ahead of him as well.
In a recent video on his channel, the aforementioned Sean O’Malley explained what he found inspiring about Paul vs Joshua.

“Anthony Joshua got the job done. Jake did a good job,” O’Malley said on his YouTube channel. “Jake fought his heart out, pushed past fatigue, showed his heart – a lot to be proud of if you’re Jake Paul. He was going to fight Gervonta Davis, which would have been fucking crazy. I would have liked to have seen that. I don’t think it really makes Jake’s stock go down in the boxing world.”
“He took some big hits. Dude, Jake’s got a damn chin on him. That was the right hand that knocked out Francis (Ngannou). As a fighter and entertainer, I think it’s inspiring to see Jake do what he did, to sell out Kaseya Center and fight Anthony Joshua live on Netflix, and make so much money doing it – inspiring.”
