Sean O’Malley is a popular hunter on the UFC schedule and a famous legend is credited to help by breaking him.
O’Malley shining on the Contender Series of Dana White and received a UFC contract. Although it was “Sugas” performance that scored him a deal with the top MMA promotion, O’Malley was in the right place at the right time. Iconic rapper Snoop Dogg commented on O’Malley’s appearance about the Contender Series, and he helped to stimulate the shares of “Suga”.
During an interview with TMZO’Malley thought about what the commentary of Snoop Dogg for him did on top of an impressive version in the Octagon (via Mmafighting).
“I mean, the knockout would be viral, anyway,” said O’Malley. “Only this skinny little white guy with a fro, just sleep this Russian. I mean, that would have been viral anyway.
‘The Snoop [commentary] has just increased to an insane level. He placed me twice in a row on his Instagram, such as back-to-back and it simply blew up. I think it would have done without this, but absolutely insane figures. “
O’Malley said that the viral moment when he eliminated Alfred Khashakyan in 2017 was the real start of his UFC run.
“It was just affirmative for myself like what I thought, what I felt there was happening,” said O’Malley. “That really felt like the beginning. This is the beginning of what I had built up in my mind. As if this is the start of the vision.”
The “Suga” show eventually came together a series of victories before he was stopped by Marlon “Chito” Vera. He recovered from the loss and eventually conquered the UFC Bantamweight Championship. O’Malley ran his loss of Vera in the process before he dropped the 135 pound gold to Merab Dvalishvili.
After having defeated Dvalishvili in June a second time, O’Malley is looking forward to what the next step is.
