A Saturday night special in Week 18 brings us the biggest game of the entire NFL season: the Seattle Seahawks versus the San Francisco 49ers. The winner will take not only the NFC West title, but also the No. 1 seed and conference home field advantage all the way to the Super Bowl, while the loser will have to settle for a wild card and likely one road game after another in the playoffs.

Let’s get into my Seahawks vs. 49ers predictions dive.

Odds Seattle Seahawks vs San Francisco 49ers

Moneyline: Seahawks -140 / 49ers +120
Spread: Seahawks -1.5 (-120) / 49ers +1.5 (+100)
Total: More than 47.5 (-110) / Less than 47.5 (-110)

Seattle Seahawks vs. San Francisco 49ers Best Bet No. 1: Seahawks -1.5 (-120)

The 49ers may have home field advantage, but the Seahawks have been great on the road all season. Head coach Mike Macdonald’s team is 7-1 away from home. After a two-point loss to the Rams in Week 11, the ‘Hawks have cruised to a six-game winning streak. This stretch includes a win over the Rams in perhaps the game of the year, along with emphatic wins and covers against Minnesota, Atlanta and Carolina.

The Seahawks have plenty of talent on defense, while quarterback Sam Darnold and wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba have the offensive chemistry. Receivers don’t win MVP, but Smith-Njigba is a heavy favorite to be named Offensive Player of the Year. It’s also worth noting that Seattle has no real injuries. San Francisco, on the other hand, is still without both linebacker Fred Warner and edge rusher Nick Bosa. Not surprisingly, the 49ers’ defense — while still a solid unit — has stumbled a bit in their absence. They managed to beat the Bears in Week 17, but not before giving up 38 points.

Seattle Seahawks vs. San Francisco 49ers best player prop bet: Jaxon Smith-Njigba Over 62.5 receiving yards (-114)

In the biggest games, teams rely – or at least they should – on their best players. Of course, this is as big as is possible for a regular season game. Therefore, count on Seattle getting the ball into Smith-Njigba’s hands early and often. That’s generally what the Seahawks do every week, regardless of the specific game. The former Ohio State standout has made at least seven catches in six of the last seven games, including eight or more fours during this stretch.

JSN has exceeded the 100-meter mark nine times this season. Four other times he has amassed at least 92 yards. When the 49ers and Seahawks faced off in Week 1, he caught nine of 13 targets for 124 yards. Seattle now faces a San Francisco defense that ranks 25th against the pass with 235.6 yards per play allowed on 7.0 yards per attempt. It certainly doesn’t help the 49ers that they are missing Bosa and Warner.
