Southern southern southern bred horses were forward at Addington last night with Jumal (Downbytheseaside) Continuation in its winning way and tact Teva (Foaming) A winning return to the race track after the last racing in October 2024.
“He was kicked by a paddock partner and broke the bone above his knee. It was just peace, box, rest, which he cannot do well because he is restless. He got through it, had his full rehabilitation and had good preparation,” said Amanda Telfer who trains the ride with her brother Steve.
Prior to the return of last night, Tact Teva had not been to taste or training, so it was a super training of the Stonewall Stud team.
“It was the most nervous thing I have been for a while because I really like it. No, it was great.”
Director Tim Williams took the three -year -old for a handy draw and he went to the line to win with one and a half length of Berrettini.
Tact Teva Replay

Tact Teva now goes to the $ 50,000 Harness 7000 in fourteen days.
“He still has a winter coat on him and hopefully we can get it out of him.”
Offered by Winton -Paar Trevor Proctor and Diane Dynes, Tact Tava was passed on during the NZB Standardbred 2023 Jaarling -Sales in Christchurch.
“I was actually in Aussie and Steve Stockman (from Stonewall Stud) rank and asked if I found all the yearlings he had bought. I told him that I did not do that because I had given him one number (Tact number from Teva) and he did not bought it,” Amanda told me after Tact Teva had his first race in Winton last August.
After the sale, Teva was passed on to Mark Jones before Stockman came and bought the Colt for $ 60,000.
Tact Teva is from the ten race -winning mare Tact Hayley Jane who has left in Stud Tama, the winner of all five of his starts in Australia, Tact Hayley’s Delight, the winner of sixteen and open class Pacer Tact MCleod.

Last night later on the map, Jumal continued in his winning way when he got the Tabak Business Sale & Vivace Mobile Pace.
Driver Sam Ottley took the two -year -old from the gate and when the second favorite Zeus Lightning brought a few rough steps, he took Jumal to the top.
After a few soft early sectionals, Jumal cut out his last 800 meters in 55 seconds, with Stumblin being beaten in two lengths with Zeus Lightning a head back in third place.
Jumal Replay
“I thought there were a few handy horses. I concentrated on my horse. He did everything well and he delivered. It was a bit of a relief, but it is further and up,” said trainer Steven Reid.

Jumal will have his next start in the stakes of the Woodland Stud Sires Heat on the 19one September. After this are two main goals the $ 200,000 Harness Million on10one October and the Stakes’ Stakes final of the Woodlands Stud Sires on 11one November.
“He is such a cool horse. It is clear that I have had some decent younger horses in my time. He is above and possibly a bit for them. You take a horse like Gold Ace who did not hit his belts until he was a three -year -old. This man is probably a bit advanced than that.

Jumal is owned by Malcolm Wigley and Reid’s partner Bella Storer. Storer bought the Colt for $ 95,000 as an unnamed yearling during the NZB Standard Bred Yearling Sale last year in Christchurch and he is named after Malcolm and his deceased wife Judith.
Jumal was bred by Dave and Dawn Kennedy van Beauduien Breeding and is a full sister of several group of winning Mare Beaudiee Bad Babe and Millionaire Pacer Beaudeer Boaz from Beaudine Blinkz.
