SAN FRANCISCO – A San Francisco police officer shot a person who wore a “reverse weapon” on Thursday morning in the Northern highway 101, according to the authorities.
Around 11:20 am, officers in the field of Highway 101 and Cesar Chavez Street were sitting on San Francisco County Sheriff with a ‘male subject’ that was seen on the highway, said the police of San Francisco in a statement.
According to the police, the officer contacted the person near the Cesar Chavez Street Off-disaster.
“During the meeting, the subject produced a reverse weapon and a shooting took place on the officer,” the police said in the statement. “An SFPD officer was involved.”
Officers provided help to the person and paramedics took him to an area hospital, according to the police. The police did not know his condition.
No other injuries were reported.
The police said the shooting is being investigated by the San Francisco District Attorney, SFPD’s Division Division of SFPD, the division of the SFPD and the Department of Police Accountability.
A community meeting about the shooting is expected to take place within 10 days.
