Adds support for Matter and new routines
Samsung wants to renew its lineup before 2026, complete with new Q-series soundbars and new Music Studio speakers.
Brought to the attention of the technology giant in a new blog postthe new range will be showcased at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, Nevada from January 6 to 9.
“For more than a decade, Samsung has been shaping the evolution of home audio through advanced acoustics, intelligent features and thoughtful design,” said Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “We continue that legacy with next-generation sound devices designed to deliver rich, expressive performance for any space and any moment.”
The flagship of the new range is the HW-Q990H, an 11.1.4-channel system that combines a 7.0.2 main beam with a 4.0.2 rear speaker and a dual 8-inch driver. It introduces a new technology that Samsung has called ‘Sound Elevation’.
It “lifts dialogue to the center of the screen for more natural-sounding audio. It also introduces Auto Volume, which maintains consistent volume across channels and content for a smoother, more balanced listening experience,” Samsung writes.
Similarly, there’s also a new all-in-one soundbar (HW-QS90H) that can be wall-mounted and/or placed on a table. It features built-in gyro sensors to automatically adjust channel distribution based on orientation.
In addition to the soundbars, Samsung is also introducing two new WiFi speakers: Music Studio 5 and Music Studio 7, both designed in collaboration with artist Erwan Bouroullec.
Music studio 5
Samsung says the Music Studio 5 is built for homes where design is as important as sound. With a “gallery-inspired” design, it also doubles as a statement piece with a 4-inch woofer and dual tweeters. It boasts modern features such as AI Dynamic Bass Control, Wi-Fi casting, streaming services, voice control, Bluetooth via Samsung Seamless Codec and more.
Music studio 7
Described as the most immersive model in the range, Music Studio 7 is the hi-fi version of the pair. It features 3.1.1 channel spatial audio and includes a super tweeter, which can extend the frequency range up to 35 kHz for enhanced musical details. It has all the top features of Music Studio 5 and is available in black and white. “It functions as a standalone immersive speaker or can be linked via Q-Symphony to additional devices or Samsung TVs for wider stereo or a full surround sound setup.”
