Salesforce brings Agentforce Sales to ChatGPT | MarTech

Salesforce has rolled out its Agentforce Sales app for ChatGPT, putting AI-powered CRM functionality at the fingertips of salespeople – right in their conversations. The integration announced yesterday connects Salesforce data with OpenAI’s ChatGPT to help salespeople prioritize leads, update opportunities, and generate account plans without switching apps or tabs.

The idea is to eliminate what Salesforce calls the “toggle tax” — the friction of jumping between tools — by allowing users to ask ChatGPT questions like “Show me my uncontacted leads” or “Update this capability to Closed Won,” and get real-time results powered by Salesforce data. The app not only provides information, but also handles and automates tasks such as reassigning leads or creating strategic plans.

In addition to productivity gains, the app is designed to work safely. It runs on Salesforce’s Agentforce Trust Layer, which means it respects existing permissions and ensures that proprietary customer data remains within Salesforce standards. The Agentforce Sales app is now in open beta for eligible Salesforce customers via the ChatGPT app directory.

“With this app, we meet salespeople where they already work,” said Kris Billmaier, GM and EVP of Agentforce Sales at Salesforce, in a release. “It’s not just chatting, it’s action.”
