Saint Michael’s Hires Former Vermont ladies hockey video -Coordinator McLean as a new assistant -coach for Purple Knights -College Hockey | Ucho.com

Saint Michael’s has announced the recruitment of Olivia McLean as the full-time assistant coach of the ladies’ hockey team.

McLean spent the past two years as a video coordinator for the Hockey team of Vermont Women. In that position, her primary load of data and analysis was collection and processing while working with the coaching staff.

“We are very enthusiastic to welcome Olivia to our staff,” said Saint Michael’s head coach Meghan Sweezey in a statement. “Olivia’s knowledge of the DI level, fame with the area and program, video expertise and interpersonal skills will undoubtedly help our team reach the next level. The future of our program is rosy and we are delighted to support her as we continue.”

“Coaching at university level has been a dream of mine as long as I can remember,” McLean added. “I am so excited to find the chance at Saint Michael. Working with such motivated athletes and employees in a close -knit community as SMC is really a dream. I look forward to working with Meghan and the team to grow the program further.”

A former hockey player at South Burlington High School and the Northwood School in Lake Placid, NY, McLean received extra leadership experience on the ice as a counselor at the Elite Hockey camp. The resident of South Burlington was a list of dean list at the university and completed her Bachelor’s degree in UVM in the political sciences in May.
