OAKLAND – A woman who reportedly earned $ 500,000 as a prostitute for a Sacramento man, testified that it was far from his only company for making money.
Renford Evans, 41, took care of two night clubs, worked as a cook for a well-known restaurant in Sacramento Chicken and owned his own company in the food service industry, a woman who is only known as “Jane Doe” in court. But she added that after they separated, the restaurant ‘Kingdom’ Evans had ‘crumbled’ for herself without her.
“He came to have a food truck. He came to walk two kitchens from two night clubs to cook,” she said during the provisional hearing of Evans March. “But when I crumbled that crumbled … he lost both kitchens. He lost the food truck.”
Evans was accused of human trafficking, pimping, abuse with a firearm, abuse that will probably cause a lot of physical injury, a weapon in public, rifle and criminal threats waving. During his provisional hearing, the accusation of criminal threats were rejected, but the rest of the case was maintained and is now on the way to trial or another resolution.
The next court date has been established for mid -September. In the meantime, Evans – who was convicted ten years ago for legal rape and lusty actions with a minor in a sex trade case – is held without bail.
Evans was arrested after he had abused the woman in a hotel in Oakland. She testified that the incident was the last drop for her, after success, Backhand Slaps, an incident in which he threatened her with a gun. She said she worked for him as an ‘escort’, and the police said at the time of his arrest that she was estimated to make $ 500,000 for him.
She testified that he encouraged her to use condoms and go to health clinics every week to test for STDs, and that she would transfer the money to him. It started at the end of 2023 until Evans was arrested, she testified.
At Cross Exercise, Evans’s lawyer asked what she took out.
“Nothing but a broken heart and a hurt face,” did. When asked to explain the “broken heart” part, she testified that despite the abuse Evans losing from her life was an emotional process. Nowadays, she said, she goes to school and ‘brings together’.
“Once you are with such someone, it is like having a very good friend,” tested. “You don’t love them, like romantic. You love them as if they were like a family member.”
