Team India Assistant -Coach Ryan Ten Docal has responded to the claim of Pakistan -head coach Mike Hesson that ‘Mohammad Nawaz is the best spinner in the world’ during the current Asia Cup 2025. Ryan has also said that Hesson can rank where he was.
India will be confronted opposite Pakistan in the Asia Cup collision on Sunday 14 September in the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The two teams started their tournament campaigns with victories respectively. India Pakistan in particular dominated in T20Is and won nine of the 13 encounters, with one match ending in a draw.

“We have Mohammad Nawaz, who is currently the best spin -bowler in the world, and he has been arranged in this way in the past six months since he has returned,” Hesson said.
Nawaz has been in exceptional form for the past six months. He delivered a match-winning performance in the Tri series final against Afghanistan. Nawaz took five wickets, including a hat trick, to guide Pakistan to a 75-run victory.
The left arm spinner took 10 wickets in five innings. He won the player of the match and Player of the Series Awards. Nawaz also made an impact in the Pakistan opening match against Oman and took a wicket while the team achieved a comfortable 93-run victory.

Ryan Ten Dochate said that every coach is entitled to his own opinion. He also stated that both India and Pakistan have strong spin options.
“I think spinners will be very important in this competition. If there is something, I don’t think it has grabbed as much as we expected and certainly not like earlier in the year when we were here,” said Ryan Ten Doche in the press conference for the competition.
“But Spin in general has become a very important part of T20 cricket, and both teams have a lot of spider -in -offer. And we know for sure how we think about Varun, Axar and Kuldep, so everyone is entitled to their opinion, and they can rank their players wherever they want,” added Ryan to the need.

The team guided by Suryakumar Yadav strongly on his spin trio of Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel and Varun Chakravarthy. Kuldeep and Axar played crucial roles in the World Cup victory of India in India, while Chakravarthy has made a remarkable comeback to international cricket.
Since his return, Chakravarthy has become the highest wicket tack in T20is under Nations with full members and claims 32 wickets in just 13 innings.
The spinners were the most important architects of victory in the opener of Asia Cup 2025 in India against the VAE and took six wickets to dismantle the opposition. Kuldeep Yadav registered figures of 4/7 in just 2.1 overs, while Varun Chakravarthy (1/4) and Axar Patel (1/13) each grabbed a wicket.
