Ruben Amorim weighs up Manchester United’s selection dilemmas ahead of Everton match – Man United News And Transfer News | The People’s Person

For the first time this season, Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim is dealing with four injuries as he prepares his side for the visit of Everton in the Premier League on Monday evening.

United are four games unbeaten in the league and will be looking to build on their success with a convincing win against David Moyes’ Toffees.

One player who will almost certainly not feature is striker Benjamin Sesko, who suffered a knee injury last time.

It’s unlikely that Lisandro Martinez will be ready to return, while there are doubts over Harry Maguire (thigh) and Kobbie Mainoo (knock).

Defense

Senne Lammens has firmly established himself as United’s number one this season and will remain in goal.

Even if Maguire is fit enough for selection, he is unlikely to be in danger from the start. So Leny Yoro will probably line up next to Matthijs de Ligt, while Luke Shaw will remain at left central defender (LCB).

Amorim’s full-backs are Noussair Mazraoui, Diogo Dalot, Amad and Patrick Dorgu. The Dane is on fire for his national team and could make the starting XI, while Amad would be the most attacking option on the right.

Midfield and forwards

Casemiro has been declared fit to play and is likely to continue his midfield partnership with captain Bruno Fernandes.

Manuel Ugarte’s confidence and form are low, especially after Uruguay’s 5-1 defeat to the United States on Wednesday. Mainoo is the only other option as he recovers from his injury.

In Sesko’s almost certain absence, we expect Mason Mount to start on the left side of the attack, with Matheus Cunha up top and Bryan Mbeumo on the right.

However, it is also possible that Josh Zirkzee comes in as a direct replacement for Sesko, with Cunha and Mbeumo on the flanks. Amad could also go into attack, with Dalot or Mazraoui taking his place at right wing-back.

Here then is our predicted XI for Monday’s 8pm kick-off:
