Ruben Amorim pays off his only criticism after the 2-1 victory of Man United over Chelsea – Man United News and Transfer News | The people person

Head coach Ruben Amorim van Manchester United has unveiled his only complaint after the big 2-1 victory against Chelsea.

United protects all three points vs. Chelsea

United started perfectly at Old Trafford when Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez only received a red card for a reckless challenge at Bryan Mbeumo for four minutes.

Bruno Fernandes gave the hosts the lead 10 minutes later, while he directed a Patrick Dorgu delivery at the back of the net. Casemiro made it 2-0 before he was also sent for a second bookable attack.

Trevoh Chalobah stopped the shortage to organize a wild finish, but the Red Devils managed to hold all three points.

The result has driven United to ninth place in the Premier League table, with seven points to their name for the first five games.

After the last whistle, Amorim spoke with the media and revealed that United made over -complicated things and made the game more difficult for itself than it had to be.

Amorim only votes for concern after winning Chelsea

Amorim told Sky Sports [as quoted by BBC Sport]”We started the game really well, really aggressive. We were so aggressive in the second balls.”

“We had shipping with Casemiro, we always want to complicate our game, but it was a good day. I felt the urgency, of course the shipping helped us. We had to be more clinically to finish the game earlier.”

Asked for Fernandes who registered his 100th goal for United, he replied: “He has a great spirit, he is our captain and he scored a goal as a midfielder, so I am really happy with that! People have no good things to say about our team, so I’m just joking.”

“I have nothing to say to the critics and usually they are right. Today we have won and it’s a good day for us.”

Whether the victory is his biggest home victory as a United Head Coach, Amorim said: “It is really important because I understand the situation around this club. We cannot forget that we suffer a lot when we are at the top.”

“We can lose against Grimsby, we can beat every team. I just think of the following. It’s really good to win. We need the urgency to win again, that’s really important to us.”

He also spoke with BBC Sport and noticed: “Every victory is especially important at the moment, against a big opponent.”

“We started the game in the right way. Really aggressive. The red card helped us dominate the game, but we were already there.”

“We scored two goals and then we tried to complicate our game again. It is always complicated for us. It should have been different.”

He added about Casemiro: “He is [feeling] Worse than me. We have won, so I will forget a little and he will suffer because he is a top professional. He understands what he did. He is experienced enough that that game should not be played that way. He cares too much. “

“We eventually suffered, but we deserved the victory.”

“Our crowd, our fans are easy to please. If you give everything they will be there. That is something that our players have to understand. To have the crowd with us, we just have to run, fight and tackle.”

“With this victory we have to forget the good feeling of winning the game and going back to the urgency of the feeling that we have to win the next game.”

“Now it’s time to create a little momentum.”

United will be back in action next Saturday when they are confronted with Brentford in the Gtech Community Stadium.
