Ruben Amorim delivered a timely fitness boost for Manchester United on Saturday prior to their matchweek Five against Chelsea in Old Trafford on Saturday.
United goes on the back of a humiliating 3-0 defeat in the Manchester Derby-a result that underlined what their poorest start of a competition season was in 30 years.
With only one victory so far, late against the newly promoted Burnley before the international break, the Red Devils are 14th in the Premier League with four points of a possible 12.
Amorim, however, will be encouraged by the return of important players. Both Matheus Cunha and Mason Mount, offside since Matchweek Three against Burnley, is expected to be back in the team for Saturday’s showdown with Chelsea.
That leaves only two senior absent behind for United – Lisandro Martinez, who is still recovering from a serious knee injury, and Diogo Dalot, whose muscular issue does not keep him available.
‘(Diogo) Dalot is out. Mason is in the team and Cunha is in the team. Body (Lisandro Martinez) is still out, “ Amorim told reporters in his Pre-match press conference While he gave an update about the condition of his team.

Cunha had thrown away before the international break during the opening half of the Burnley fixture, while Mount was withdrawn during the same competition and therefore was the journey to the Etihad Stadium.
The new campaign has hardly passed the one -month brand, but the record of United makes grim reading. Two defeats in their opening of four league trips have been exacerbated by a humiliating EFL Cup output to Grimsby Town.
Their only victory so far came in Old Trafford against Burnley, where a stopping time penalty from Bruno Fernandes saved a 3-2 victory despite their superiority during the game.
Since the appointment of Amorim on match day 12 of last season, no current Premier League side has returned poorer figures – only collected 31 points from 31 games, with a negative target difference of 13 – under the line of the club’s scale.
With a whole week of preparation, the Portuguese manager will gladly expand the undefeated run against Chelsea to 13 games – knowing that a defeat could activate the notorious ‘club statement’ that marked the exit of five of the last six managers of United.
