This week marks the final stop of the PGA Tour Fall Series as a bunch of hopefuls take their shot at the RSM Classic at Sea Island Golf Club in St. Simons Island, Georgia.
The key here is to get into the top 100 of the FedEx Cup standings, which will secure you a 2026 PGA Tour card. Players 101 through 150 in the rankings after this week will receive conditional status, but will be fully exempt for the Korn Ferry Tour.
In short, there is still a lot to play for.
“There are probably a lot of young guys in this field that you’ve never heard of who could easily win this tournament this week,” Harris English said Wednesday. “The depth of this tour is unlike any other. It just gets harder and harder to compete here and keep your card. That keeps me trying and keep driving. We have a lot of young guys moving to Sea Island who keep an eye on me so I don’t have to watch these guys come and take my job, but it pushes me to keep getting better and better. I want to play here as long as I can. This sport, if you play the best golf for a few months, you get into the best tournaments. No one will beat you So if you still play good golf, there are still opportunities to play in the best tournaments.”
