Rosenior hopes Ligue 1 experience can give Chelsea a boost ahead of the PSG match

Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior is seizing the opportunity to take on old rivals Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

The West Londoners will compete with the European champions in the round of 16 after Friday’s draw. For Rosenior it is a well-known opponent who played in French football in Strasbourg.

Discussing the draw, Rosenior said the match with PSG is the kind of draw you live for and hopes his experience of playing against the Parisians can boost Chelsea’s hopes.

The match is also a repeat of the summer final of the Club World Cup in New Jersey. Cole Palmer scored twice as Chelsea upset the Champions League holders with a 3-0 win at the MetLife Stadium.

“So excited. PSG are a fantastic team,” Rosenior told the media on Friday, ahead of this weekend’s Premier League clash with Arsenal.

“I have experience playing against them in France. I have always admired them. Luis Enrique has done a fantastic job.”

“These are the games you live for, games you come to football for. It will be a great draw. But before that we still have three games that I have to concentrate on.”
