Rory Mcilroy is known for its straight talking and honest style. The 36-year-old has previously taken Swipes at Liv Golf and has more recently had a doll at PGA Tour Champions, and stated that something “terribly wrong” must have gone when he comes to the Senior Circuit at the age of 50.

Scottie Scheffler
With both McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler who are beautiful at the pinnacle of the golf ranking, you would think that their rivalry could acidify their companionship. However, the two retain a remarkable respectful report, which often introduce tournaments as the leading contenders.
Prior to the Houston Open in March, McIlroy was mainly free of Scheffler, both in terms of his character and in his professional performance. De Noord -Ier, who has five big titles, said: “I think what scottie has done in golf in recent years is great. It’s great to have him – he’s great for the game.
“What he did last year, I don’t think it’s talking about enough. His season last year is there with one of the great seasons of all time in the history of the game.
“He is a great player, he is also a great person, he has a great family. It is good to see him do well – as if it is good for the game and it is nice to see that nice people succeed. I have nothing but respect and admiration for Scottie.”
Tommy Fleetwood
McIlroy has just been generous in his praise from Tommy Fleetwood, after he has forged a strong friendship with the Englishman after their triumphant combination in the Ryder Cup 2023, where they deserved the nickname ‘Fleetwood Mac’. When Fleetwood successfully defended his Abu Dhabi HSBC championship crown in spectacular style in 2018, McIlroy showed remarkable grace despite finding out four shots.
The winner of the Masters said: “It is incredible. Tommy had a great year last year, won the race to Dubai, number 1 in Europe and then to continue. This week, title defender, to assemble that Tour of Golf today, I mean to shoot 65 in those circumstances is seriously impressive.
“He is a great addition to the world of Golf, a great addition to the European tour and he will be a great addition to the Ryder Cup team in September. For Tommy to defend, and in such a style against such a great field, it is not only for him, but also for European Golf.”
Jon Rahm
Jon Rahm’s decision to participate in the Saudi-stunned LIV golf tour in December 2023 may have put a pressure on his relationship with McIlroy, but it has not prevented the Ster born in Holywood from recognizing the smart move of the Spaniard. Despite their once-closed bond, Rahm’s surprising departure from the PGA Tour tested their friendship after they have previously expressed his effort.
McIlroy, together with Tiger Woods, had been pronounced against players who left for Liv Golf since the launch in 2021, however, the views of McIlroy seem to have evolved over the past 18 months with a remarkable divergence of Woods’ Stance.
Talk about The overlap in 2024, McIlroy said: “I think Jon, he is smart, and I think he sees things coming together [between LIV Golf and the PGA] At some point. So it is as if, “I take a lot of money in advance” – what’s his privilege, and he can absolutely do that – “and if things come together, I may play LIV for a year, come back, play on the Tour, maybe some team golf on the French people.”
“So it’s a smart business movement, it’s opportunistic. I think he sees things coming together again. And he is in a happy position; he is exempt for all Majors, there is not one person who would not want him in a Ryder Cup team because of how good he is. So he was in a big position with Jon.”
McIlroy added: “I was perhaps a bit condemning about the boys who went to Liv Golf in the beginning. I think it was a bit of a mistake on my part because I now realize that not everyone is in my position or in the position of Tiger Woods.
“We all become professional to earn a living with playing the sports we do, and I think I realized that for the past two years. I cannot judge people for making that decision, so if I regret it, it was probably to be condemning in the beginning.”
In 2024, McIlroy also praised the two -time large champion and called him one of the best players in the world for the past five or six years.
Shane Lowry
McIlroy’s band with Shane Lowry has been strengthened because both in the vicinity of the proximity in South Florida. The inhabitant of Holywood estimated that they meet about five times a week when at home, often play practice rounds together. Their families have also come close.
McIlroy openly admires Lowry’s approach of life and golf, in particular how the Irishman openly shows his emotions and rescuers his time on tour. McIlroy said: “I think Shane is very good at having fun, and I need more in my life.”
Milroy spoke on Netflix’s ‘Full Swing’ and shared his personal struggle with juggling with his roles, which stated that he wanted him to be as relaxed as Lowry. He added: “I struggled with the balance of the best golfer, try to be the best husband or the best father and sometimes I am overwhelmed and it can all get a bit too much for me.
“Then I see how Shane works with great ease and sometimes you have to concentrate on one or the other, and, you know, he is really good at that. I see him in some ways as a good role model for me. I can learn a lot from him in how he handles everything in his life.”
