Ronda Rousey slams Joe Rogan in awkward interview – MMASucka

Ronda Rousey recently spoke with Joe Rogan’s good friend Bert Kreischer and discussed a wide range of different topics, from MMA’s disrespect for legends to being the GOAT, from Dana White vs. Vince McMahon to fighter pay, but one of the more interesting parts of the interview was when UFC commentator Joe Rogan came up.

Rousey is without a doubt one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time. She carried the women’s division on her back for most of her career and single-handedly pushed women into the UFC. She is a compelling figure and there is no doubt that MMA fans today do not appreciate the impact and legacy she left on the sport. After all, she’s a UFC Hall of Famer for a reason.

As we know, Joe Rogan is one of the more respected names in the world of MMA. He has been a face in the UFC for almost 30 years and many consider him the voice of the UFC. In recent years, fans have become critical of Rogan for his opinions when calling fights, believing that there are better options in the booth than Rogan, but if he leaves the UFC, he will certainly be missed.

Ronda Rousey speaks to MMA media and fans

On Kreischer’s podcast: Ronda Rousey was asked how she deals with media members who say one thing and then talk “nonsense” about her behind her back, with Ariel Helwani’s name prominently featured throughout. She responded by saying:
That’s why I don’t talk to those people anymore. When was the last time you saw me in Ariel Helwani? It’s been a long time because I remember that sh*t”.

Kreischer noted that it’s “weird” for people to be critic without ever having been in a fight, to which Rousey noted:
MMA fans and media are the most “what have you done for us lately?” audience of any sport”.

Interestingly enough, she also noted that fans are such big supporters of Khabib Nurmagomedov because he “retired before reaching his limit. If he had reached his limit, everyone would be like Khabib is not sh*t, he has never been sh*t.”

Rowdy punches Rogan

Towards the end of the interview, Kreischer jokingly tells Rousey that he spoke to Joe Rogan to ask him how long he would have to train to beat her. Rousey responds and makes things serious by saying:
He wouldn’t know, he’s not an expert, he’s a fan with an audience.”
When asked if she felt this way, she noted that Rogan has never fought, and was somewhat refuted when reminded that he fought in taekwondo. Rousey laughed and said, “Never fought, that’s not fighting.”

A damning statement from a UFC legend. Ronda Rousey has been on Rogan’s podcast a number of times, but she hasn’t been on “The Joe Rogan Experience” for several years.
