Ronda Rousey rejects UFC Witte Huis Battle

The UFC Witte Huis event represents a historic milestone for the promotion, officially confirmed by CEO Dana White after meetings with President Donald Trump in August 2025. Originally planned for July 4, 2026, to commemorate the 250 -year anniversary of America, the event has since been moved to June for logistics. The unprecedented mixed Martial Arts showcase will contain fighting on the South Lawn of the White House, with weightings planned in the Lincoln Memorial and viewing areas on the National Mall.

Since he retired in December 2016 from MMA competition after successive knock -out losing to Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes, Ronda Rousey has completely transformed her career path. The 37-year-old former champion has devoted himself to WWE and family life with husband Travis Browne, a former heavyweight of UFC, and their two daughters. The couple welcomed their first daughter, La’akea Makalapuaokalanipō, in September 2021, followed by their second daughter, Liko’ula Pā’ūomahinakaipiha Browne, in January 2025.

The current priorities of Ronda Rousey center around creative efforts instead of combating sports. She has successfully switched to screenwriting and has concluded a deal with Netflix to write the script for her own biopic based on her memoirs “My Fight/Your Fight” and “Our Fight”. The project is an important career spindle for the former champion, who spent time as a trainee in WME’s story department to learn foundations of scenario writing. Director Augustinus Frizzell, known for her work on the pilot episode of HBO’s “Euphoria”, is affiliated with Helm The Biopic for Netflix.

After studying structure and technology through different scripts, she completed her first concept in just seven days and made an impression on her agents with the quality of the work of a first screenwriter. Chernin Entertainment has registered to produce the film, which will describe the journey of Rousey of Olympic Judo -bronze medal winner to UFC champion.

Outside her Netflix project, Rousey has written a graphic novel with the title ‘The Unexpected expectations’, planned for release in October 2025. These creative activities reflect her shift to projects that enable her to maintain the stability of the family and at the same time strive for artistic fulfillment. She is clear about her inability to return to the demanding travel schedule that is required for professional wrestling or fighting, and stated that its current living conditions make such obligations impossible.
