While all Malaysian citizens with valid driving permits are eligible for subsidized RON 95 petrol – priced on RM1.99 per liter – under the Budi Madani Ron 95 (Budi95) program that starts on 30 September, commercial vehicles that are eligible for subsidized Petrol RM2.05 per liter.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the subsidized rate of RM2.05 per liter, which is of course lower than the non -subsidized price, applies to nine types for petrol vehicle in public transport and 12 in the sector for fiber vehicles/logistics sector under the subsidized tank control system (SKPS).
In the public transport segment, these taxis, rental cars, school buses, hearing stores, ambulances, fire trucks, shuttle buses, stage buses and minibuses run on gasoline.

In the category for fiber vehicles, there are eligible types of panel vans, shop windows, semi-panel vans, trucks for food catering and vans, general trucks, box/luton trucks, refrigerated trucks, mobile service buses/trucks and trucks that are used to fill agricultural products and animals.
Fleet maps are used to channel the subsidized gasoline to these eligible commercial vehicles. Registration for SKPs under the commercial Budi Madani MySsgsidi 95 scheme started on 15 September.
In the meantime, since last year, subsidized diesel has been provided to eligible logistics vehicles under the subsidized Diesel Control System (SKDS) 2.0, which entitles operators of these vehicles to a subsidized rate of RM2.15 per liter.
