RISHABH Pant’s comeback date announced after injury

RISHABH Pant is completely ready to make his comeback to competitive cricket after a long injury dismissal. The Wicketkeeper-Batter of India suffered a foot injury in the fourth test against England and missed the Asia Cup and the TOOT against the West Indies.

According to reports, it is expected that Pant will play for Delhi in the coming Ranji trophy before returning to the national team for the home series against South Africa. His right foot will be assessed in the coming week, with approval probably around 10 October.

Pant has indicated that he wants to be available for the Ranji -Trophy match of Delhi against Himachal Pradesh, planned to start on October 25.

His participation depends on fitness and approval of the BCCI Medical Team, a top official from Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) told The Times of India.

Although Pant has not confirmed the exact date that he will join the Delhi camp, he is expected to have the team deleted once.

“Playing the first round Ranji match from October 15 would be very tight for him. If he is available, he will most likely lead the team,” the official one added.

If everything goes well in the Ranji trophy and with medical approval, Pant could make its international return during the two-match test series of India against South Africa from November 14.
