Rinat Fakhretdinov and UFC part ways, not re-signed after sub-1 minute KO | BJPenn.com

Rinat Fakhretdinov has posted an undefeated record in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, but he will no longer be a UFC-contracted athlete heading into 2026.

The UFC has opted not to re-sign the 34-year-old and the beginning of this story begins with an initial report from Tom Feely. The Shepherd The contributor used his X account @omgitsfeely to convey some recent omissions from the UFC roster page, as Feely said:

“Rinat Fakhretdinov, Loik Radzhabov and Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos have been removed from the http://UFC.com roster.”

After the first report of this news, Nolan King said MMA junkie was able to confirm 33 percent of these potential releases, as King said on his X account @mma_kings:

“Rinat Fakhretdinov and the #UFC have indeed parted ways (h/t @omgitsfeely). Sources say Rinat (despite being 6-0-1 UFC) was not re-signed after working out his deal.”

Rinat Fakhretdinov and his UFC run overall

Fakretdinov was never in the red on his professional UFC ledger, but still received his pink slip after more than three and a half years with the organization. Rinat Fakhretdinov made his UFC debut in June 2022 after posting a 19-2 record in professional mixed martial arts. In his Ultimate Fighting Championship debut, the Russian defeated Andreas Michailidis at UFC Fight Night: Volkov vs. Rosebush.

In subsequent octagonal trips, Fakhretdinov would pick up a pair of victories with a unanimous decision over Bryan Battle and a sub-minute submission over Kevin Lee. After a majority draw against Elizeu Zaleski, Fakhretdinov secured decision victories over Nicolas Dalby and Carlos Leal via split and unanimous decisions respectively.

The latter bout delivered a fifty-four second knockout victory against Andreas Gustafsson at UFC Fight Night: Imavov vs. Borralho in September.
