Calling all those who like to take a walk down memory lane: stepping past the white picket fence of this retro home is like stepping back in time.
The original art deco house in Birkenhead, at 25 Levi St, is like a time capsule as it has changed little since it was built in the early 1960s.
With the exception of a new roof and some painting on the inside, the house remains in its original state.
However, that could change, as the auction will take place on Wednesday.
Selling agent Peter Kikianis of Ray White Semaphore said it was more than just a two-bedroom house: it was a family legacy in a sought-after location.

The Birkenhead property at 25 Levi St is a time capsule.
Hardly anything has changed since it was built in the early 1960s.
The house has two bedrooms and one bathroom.
āIt’s a time capsule of Adelaide’s multicultural heritage and a family’s lasting legacy,ā he said.
āThe property is a blank canvas in a sleek location and is in close proximity to the Osborne Shipyards, historic Port Adelaide and the beaches of Semaphore.ā
Mr Kikianis said the new buyer had sufficient space to occupy, renovate, extend or completely redevelop the site, subject to council approval.
The quaint house was built by a Polish immigrant couple in the early 1960s and marked a new beginning for them in South Africa.
The couple’s daughter, Irene Lynch, had fond memories of growing up in the house with her sister Krystyna.
āThe kitchen was very small, but it was always the place where we gathered for meals,ā she said.
āMy mother cooked, my father came home at 5 p.m. and the meal was ready.
āFamily, relatives ā it was always around that table.ā
Ms Lynch’s father arrived in Australia with his parents and was initially placed in Hahndorf Barracks.

Pink is a key feature of the bathroom.
It has been a beloved family home since the 1960s.
The house will be auctioned on Wednesday.
He later built his family home using local materials.
While he died 20 years ago, Mrs Lynch’s mother continued to live at the home until April last year, when she moved into aged care.
Mrs Lynch hoped another family would enjoy the house.
āI hope there will be a loving family for a long time to come who will create as many happy family memories as we have,ā she said.
āThere are many opportunities for someone to make it their own.ā
The auction will take place on Wednesday at 5:30 PM.
According to the latest data from PropTrack, the average house price in Birkenhead has risen by 9.2 per cent in the past year to $830,000.
