With the Asia Cup 2025 around the corner, Team India’s Star all-rounder Hardik Pandya reportedly checked in in the BCCIs Center of Excellence (COE) in Bengaluru for a fitness test. Planned for 11 and 12 August, this assessment will play an important role in determining its fitness for the continental event, which starts on 9 September.
Pandya has been a crucial possession in the preparation of the White-Ball in India, especially after his contributions to India’s T20 World Cup 2025 and ICC Champions Trophy 2025 victory earlier this year. After the conclusion of IPL 2025, the Mumbai Indians captain took a short break before resuming the training in Mumbai from mid -July.
According to a Times of India report, Pandya will undergo fitness reviews at the NCA, where several other Indian players have already completed their tests or stand in line for the tournament.
The return of the 31-year-old to Peak Fitness is currently a priority for Indian team management. His last performance for the men in Blue came during the Champions trophy, where he supplied solid versions with both bat and ball. The upcoming fitness evaluation in Bengaluru will include physical conditioning controls, power tests and match-ready assessments under the supervision of the medical and physiotherapy team of BCCI.

In the meantime, Shreyas Iyer completed his fitness test between 27 and 29 July and is taken into account for a potential comeback. The right-handed, who last played a T20i in December 2023, had an impressive IPL 2025 season, which led Punjab Kings to the final. In particular, Iyer was not a statement for the English, but looks at a T20i return.
In addition, India’s T20i captain Suryakumar Yadav is also working on the weather on full fitness after Sport Hernia surgery in June. He spends extra time on the NCA and wants to be completely ready for the Asia Cup. In particular, the selectors are expected to announce a provisional team soon.
