Report: ‘Ful up’ Tank Davis is retiring from professional boxing

Gervonta Davis may run away from the sport of professional boxing.

According to a report from Boxing Insider Rick Glaser”Tank” has been withdrawn from active competition and is not going to fight again. Glaser notes that Davis is fed up with professional boxing, but expects that he will eventually return when his finances run dry.

Davis, 30 years old, is one of the biggest active stars in professional boxing. He is the current WBA light weight champion, but has held titles in multiple weight class. He is perhaps best known for his knockout victory from 2023 on Ryan Garcia (look). Davis is currently ranked in the pound-for-pound top 10 unbeaten on 30-0-1, so he would run away near the top of the game.

However, there is serious controversy about Davis. He has been striking several times over the years due to alleged domestic violence, in which his last indictment came only a few weeks ago.

Davis’ last performance also contained some controversy in the Ring. He was a huge favorite towards Lamont Roach, but Roach apparently brought him up and earned the victory over most Scorecards … even without the knock -down that did not count somehow! From Davis vs. Roach 2 was generally expected to be the next for both men, but perhaps Davis’s pension will give a break for those plans.

Or not. Combat Sports Retirements are not exactly rare or long -term …
