Report Details Stunning wage increase of 7,000% pending one player on Anfield

The newest Academy graduate from Liverpool has already written in red history, and new reports suggest that his reward will be one of the most remarkable wage increases in club history.

Rio Ngumoha, who scored a last-minute winner against Newcastle of only 16 years and 361 days, currently only earns £ 300 a week at Kirkby.

As reported by Adam Williams for TBR FootballLiverpool has a strict policy that limits first -year professionals to £ 52,000 a year.

Ngumoha will fall under that rule as soon as he signs his first professional deal, but the financial image is much more lucrative than the headline salary suggests.

Bonuses for performances, goals and progression in competitions are expected to bring the teenager package to £ 1 million a year, which represents an increase of 7,000% on its current conditions.

Williams explained: “Liverpool is said to be the first -year professional salaries cap at £ 52,000 a year, but that will be supplemented quite considerably with performance -related bonuses.

“I would be astonished if he ends up at just under £ 1 million a year.”

The same report noted that the club also builds up in long-term step-ups, image rights and protection clauses to ensure that Ngumoha is rewarded without breaking the team’s wage structures.

The English Youth International has now played in four senior matches, with one goal to his name, and even came from the bank in our Champions League collision with Atletico Madrid to become Liverpool’s youngest debutant ever in the competition.

His admission to the team for the European competition shows how much he is already familiar with Anfield.

It is a remarkable turnaround, since Chelsea allowed him to leave, instead aimed at foreign recruits such as Kendry Paez and Estevao.

Liverpool has already demonstrated with Curtis Jones that young creative players get opportunities at Anfield, and the rise of Ngumoha seems to be the next step in that philosophy.

The blues are reportedly frustrated in losing such a talent and this will probably come to light on his tribunal, but for us it is further proof of the clear path that is offered under Arne Slot.
