Romantic adventure drama series with Australian actor Jack Patten is returning for a second season.
Romantic adventure drama series Robin Hoodstarring Australian actor Jack Patten (NCIS: Sydney, War machine) has been renewed for a second season by MGM+.
“Robin Hood quickly became one of our highest-performing original series of all time, and the response from our audiences, both in the US and abroad, has been exceptional,” said Michael Wright, Global Head of MGM+. “We’re thrilled to continue this epic adventure for a second season. John Glenn, Jonathan English and the entire creative team have reimagined this legendary story with remarkable depth and authenticity, and we can’t wait to see where they take us next.”
Season two expands the world beyond Sherwood and Nottingham to the treacherous courts of England, France and Rome, turning the outlaws’ rebellion into a high-stakes battle for the soul of a kingdom. As the Angevin Empire threatens to tear itself apart, Rob and Marian are drawn into the orbit of kings and queens, forced to wield the tools of Norman power – politics, gold and treachery – to secure a future for the Saxons. What starts as a struggle for survival becomes a reckoning with power itself. Wide in scope yet intimate in emotion, season two deepens the romance, sharpens the rivalry and reimagines the legend as a prestige drama about love, legacy and the price of becoming history.
Season 1 also featured Sean Bean as the Sheriff of Nottingham, Lauren McQueen as Marian, Lydia Peckham as Priscilla of Nottingham, Steven Waddington as the Earl of Huntingdon and Connie Nielsen as Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine.
The second season will again consist of 10 episodes.
It is shown in Australia on Stan.
