The Reds and Bewers had both scoring opportunities in the 1st inning and both did not come in. Elly de la Cruz did not need any help from no one in the 2nd inning, while he led with a home run to the Dead Center to put Cincinnati 1-0. Spencer Steer succeeded with a double, but on the third base he was thrown away on an Infrielder grounder when he tried to move forward after the Brewers had disputed the safe call and destroyed it. A strikeout would follow and the inning came to an end.

Brady Singer got into trouble in the 2nd by hitting a batter and giving up a 2-out single, but he spread Christian Yelich to end the thread of the Brewers. When the 3rd inning started, the game was over for Freddy Peralta when Milwaukee went to the bullpen. DL Hall was welcomed in the game by TJ Friedl with a home run in the Reds Bullpen to make it a 2-0 match.

Milwaukee would not just hand over the game to Cincinnati. They would start at the bottom of the 3rd inning with back-to-back doubles to place a run and cut the lead to a point. That led to movement in the bullpen of Reds, but Singer could come out of the inning without further damage and kept his team 2-1.

In the bottom of the 4th inning, it was another lead -off -Double for Milwaukee when Isaac Collins made one in the line in the right field that bounced in the seats. Again the Reds Bullpen started to see some action. A fly to the center followed, but Collins could be third at stake. Danny Jansen came with a 2-run home run to put the Brewers in the lead and let Brady Singer walk out of the game when Nick Lodolo entered the game from the Bullpen. It didn’t go well for the Lefty, because he would give up, walk and an RBI doublel when the home team expanded their lead to 4-2 before Lodolo came out of the inning.

When the bottom of the 5th started, the Lodolo was back on the hill. He would get a groundout to start the inning, but then ran the next batter. That ended his day and Chase Burns came out of the bullpen and threw out the next two batters to end the frame. He returned for the 6th inning and threw a shutoutinning to keep the Brewers lead on two points. Scott Barlow and Connor Phillips came through with Hitless Innings in both the 7th and 8th inning.

However, the Reds attack could not get much done in both inning. They finished the top of the 9th that is still left with 4-2 and without a hit since the single from Noelvi Marte in the 3rd inning without outs. That remained the case when Cincinnati went down to drop the last game of the season.

Important moment of the game

The bottom of the 4th inning where the Brewers scored three points to take a 4-2 lead.

Notes worth mentioning

The Miami Marlins at the top of the New York Mets about 20 minutes after the Reds were lost and that was all that Cincinnati needed to keep their campaign 2025 alive. With the two teams that end in a draw at 83-79, the Reds deserve the play-off place with the Tiebreaker as the head-to-head record of the season.

Reds pitchers ran six batters in the competition. The Bewers only went 3-15 with runners in a score position, while Cincinnati went 0-2.
