The Angeles Dodgers loss had so many home runs in the game as the Cincinnati Reds had hits – three. Those three hits all came in different innings and the Reds could never get anything on the record while they were empty against three Dodgers-Ergers in a 7-0 loss.

Gavin Lux, who received his ring from the World Series from 2024 just before the game, doubled with one from the 2nd inning. Spencer Steer then hit a ball 369 feet to the left field, but he had to hit 370 because Michael Conforto made a leap catch against the wall to steal extra bases from him. Ke’bryan Hayes then flew to the warning track in the right field corner while the Reds ran a runner in second place.
The Dodgers would take a lead with one swing of the bat. After fighting for six throws with Hunter Greenee to Leiden the bottom of the 3rd, Andy Pages took the 7th pitch and hit them in the Dodgers Bullpen along the left field line to set Los Angeles with 1-0. Greene then gave up a single and a walk and was in trouble with Mookie Betts who came on the plate. The Reds Starter received Betts to check his swing that resulted in a grounder back the center that caught Greene behind his back and then shot to the second base where Matt McLain made a double game. Greene then took a strikeout to end the inning and limit the damage to just the lead -off Homer.
Los Angeles would add their lead in the 2nd bottom of the 5th. Michael Conforto doubled to start the inning and then Andy pages were hit again and his 2nd Homer of the game crushed to bring the score to 3-0.
The next inning turned into a disaster for the Reds. Freddie Freeman led away with a Double and then Hunter Deal Greene Will Smith. That ended his night and Scott Barlow took over the hill. He then ran the first batter he saw to load the bases. Barlow would return with back-to-back strikeouts. He then received a routine grounder for Shortstop, but Elly de la Cruz saw the ball go under his glove and the Dodgers would score two points on the piece to extend their lead to 5-0. TJ Friedl keeps another run on the next game when he made a sliding catch on a blooper to end the inning.
Perhaps, however, it didn’t matter, because in the first of the 7th Cincinnati they picked up their second hit of the entire game when Austin Hays hit a single. No one else reached the base and Hays was stranded there to end the top of the frame. In the bottom of the inning, the Dodgers went on another run when Mookie Betts gave a fan a souvenir through a home run to the seats in the left field that made the score at 6-0.
After another point for Los Angeles in the second half of the 8th inning – the 4th inning in which the Dodgers scored – the Reds went to the 9th inning that needed more runs than they had hits on the day. They would get a 1-out walk from Austin Hays and then on a 2-out walk from Spencer Steer, but a strikeout would end the game and they both stones while the Dodgers held up for a 7-0 win to be the series.
Important moment of the game
The 2-run home run for Andy pages in the 5th inning that made it 3-0. One night when the Reds attack could not do anything, which the game essentially brought away.
Notes worth mentioning
