Minister -President Siddaramaiah visited Bowring and Vaidehi hospitals late in the evening to meet the wounded and participate in the families of the victims.
Speaking with reporters, he said: “The cricket association organized the celebration and we used the police for security, all available staff from Bengaluru sent. The rush took place in the Chinnaswamy Stadium, where the gates are small and they were tried to be responsible. I do not want to defend the incident – the government will not politicize this.

Former CM Basavaraj Bommai criticized the state government due to negligence. “The administration hurried to organize two programs without any preparation, and both events were open to many more people than the locations. This reflects the full negligence and irresponsibility of the state government. The authorities clearly underestimate the crowd of size. There was no coordination between the police and organizers.” Bommai said that the state government is only responsible for the incident and called for a full investigation, and added that the responsible person must be punished.
