There are some controversial names on this list of fades, but keep in mind that we do not hate the players; We hate their price. Below I break the reasons for the reasons of the reasons of four big names on their current ADP.
Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles
Last season, the Eagles leaned in their shiny new toys and on average the most hasty attempts in the competition. Credit to Saquon Barkley, he got the best out of those opportunities- the top ten of both in both plate created And Breakaway runs. That combination of workload and efficiency generally transferred him to the RB1 in fantasy points per game.
The care for this year is regression that touches hard on those escape games. Especially when we consider how much of it came at the end of the games. Last season, Barkley led the NFL with 578 Hurving and Six Hasts Touchdowns in the fourth quarter. The Eagles also led the competition in points scored per match in the fourth quarter. A strange stat if you realize that the Eagles also became second in the competition in Point Differential.
If that is not enough, I am also worried that Barkley could lose opportunities in the red zone. The Eagles were a top-five score team last season. The touchdowns, however, crooked hard to the Run game. Their percentage passing touchdowns fell by 10 percent compared to 2024, and it was already in the bottom of the competition to start with. It is a tough bet to expect that the team’s quarterback and run back to end the top two in red zone attempts.
Breece Hall, New York Jets
Hall has always checked the boxes that we are looking for to run back a competition -winning running. 98th percenty speed, the passing of catch skills and a 93rd percentile dominator rating that would suggest that he could handle a bell-cow role. Yet the jets have always preferred to keep him in a bit of a Timeshare.
Last season was the first time that Breece Hall played more than 70 percent of the snaps, but that was due to the gravity of the team. The jets arranged as the last death in hasty attempts per match, and Hall led the competition in route participation and routes. Although that use is a plus for fantasy, the hasty Yardage and Touchdowns must be there to reach the RB1 status. Proven by his finish as the RB17 in fantasy points per game.
Now the jets have brought in a new regime, but the view of Hall seems to be the same. The reports from the camp are that the coaching staff keeps the idea of using a committee, and second -year Braelon Allen has been a highlight in practice. A split into terms of snaps and touches is not a death bell, but it can be with the addition of Justin Fields. This is a potential situation in which Hall loses high -quality touches because of his current partner and his quarterback.
As a general rule, mobile quarterbacks tend not to check the ball at the same pace as Pure Pocket Passers. Even a talent like Saquon Barkley used career-loage in the passing game that played alongside Jalen Hurts last year. The other problem with fields is his potential use in the goal line. In just six games for the Steelers, he had 16 Carry’s in the red zone- scored five hasty touchdowns.
Kyren Williams, Los Angeles Rams
Kyren Williams was a popular blur last season after the team had drawn up Blake Corum. It turned out that the team had drawn up a clone of Williams to go to the position alone. Williams got stuck in the faces of his doubters by hurrying 1200 meters. He finished as the RB10 in fantasy points per game.
The thing is, I still believe it was a good process to request a declining back like a pure volume game. Last year he led the competition Snap Share” Dominator assessment” And Red zone. Yet there is a case that he did not deserve to get that heavy workload. He performed as a player at replacement level across the board in terms of efficiency. Apart from avoiding tackles, but that can also be related to the amount of work he got.
| Real yards per Carry | Yards by touch | Juke | Avoid tackles | Explosive assessment | Breakaway runs | Best Balp Points Added |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4.0 (4.1 YPC) | 4.2 | 20.3 percent | 71 (4.4 p/g) | 89.3 | 6 (1.9% rate) | 152.9 (9.56 p/g) |
| 37th | 47th | 29th | 7th | 35th | 32nd | 8th |
Now, in this year’s design, the Rams added another player to the Achterveld in Jarquez Hunter. Another player who brings similarities with what they have on the depth card. Except that Hunter brings an 80th percenty speed score to the table. That is important because the Rams were one of the worst teams in the competition in generating explosive plays. Kyren himself has a total of 15 demolished points in the past two seasons. For context, Chuba Hubbard had last year alone in his first season as a starter for the Panthers.
My worries about Kyren’s ability does not mean that the rams simply stop feeding him touches. Especially after they chose to give him an extension. I am pointing these concerns to a potentially fragile situation. One that may not even be so fertile in terms of touchdown chances when Quarterback Matthew Stafford is forced to undergo surgery or is hindered by his injury.
James Cook, Buffalo Bills
Last season James Cook finished as the RB11 in fantasy points per game. He beat his expected fantasy points per game with 15 places. With his skills as an explosive playmaker, that seems likely, but that is not how he got there. It was due to the scoring of the second most touchdowns in the competition.
| Recruit | Reciprocal | Receptions | Total TDS | Fantasy points per chance | Fantasy points per game | Expected fantasy points per game |
| 1009 (63.1 p/g) | 258 (16.1 p/g) | 32 (2.0 p/g) | 18 (7.5 percent rate) | 1.09 | 16.7 | 13.2 (+3.47 diff) |
| 16th | 28th | 33rd | 2nd | 8th | 11th | 26th |
There is a clear regression that must be expected. Especially when you consider that his quarterback, Josh Allen, is also a threat in the red zone. Just like the Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley Dynamic, all had 12 hurry touchdowns. In the case of Barkley, he is at least a player of every down. Cook on average about half of the team’s snaps and was in a three -headed monster of a rear field.
Giving up early work to Ray Davis and passing down Downs to Ty Johnson left Cook with the 25th highest chances share in the competition. To show how difficult it is to make that work, Bucky Irving was the top ten in almost every efficiency metric and still finished only 19th in fantasy points per game.
While Cook fits in the profile that I usually look for in a running back, it priced on Underdog on RB15. That seems rich if you could get potential clocks behind him in Kenneth Walker, James Conner or Alvin Kamara. Although I understand that the vets are not that attractive on paper.
