We now officially have a dog fight to be, uh…top dog! Sorry, not very imaginative.
Our two previous leaders, @camarcano and @PepeSilva2, each moved down one spot to make way for Week 7 number 3, @PVCLARK, who rode the 7th highest score of the week into the top spot!
This table contains the team’s current overall ranking after week 8, the previous week’s team ranking, the change from the previous week to the current overall, the current week’s ranking, league number, intra-league ranking, team name on NFFC, points so far for the tournament, and points change from the previous week.
We would like to thank NFFC for adding the overall rankings to the league databases so we can see how we are doing overall. And it’s nuanced enough to know when there’s a tie, as there is for 23rd place, which doesn’t explain a 24th place finish.

Looking at the top 25, @PaulRyan17 had the 3rd highest score of week 8 to move up 10 spots to number 6, @JustinMason had the 4e highest score of week 8 to move up 28 places to number 21, and in the top 25 comes the well-known @rotobuzzguy. You may know him because that’s also his Twitter account, and you may also know him from Fantasy Alarm and SiriusXM. Without revealing his location, it seems the fresh air is doing him good.
Leagues 1009, 1011, and 1012 each hold 3 of the top 25 spots, and leagues 1007, 1013, and 1020 each hold two spots. Six competitions have 15 of the top 25 places.
I would also like to mention the leagues that are not in the top 25: 1008, 1014, 1017 and 1022. These are competitive leagues. For example, 1008 has no top 25 teams, but has 3 of the top 31 and 4 of the top 40. 1014 has 5 teams in the top 100, 1017 has 6 teams in the top 100, and 1022 has 4 teams in the top 70.

This shows how much exercise a team can achieve in one week. We’ve added the Current Overall and the Overall Chg columns to reflect that a good week – or better yet, more than one – can still impact our teams’ placement. A good week can still give us a rise in the standings, and just as importantly, keep us there. Shoutout @wweiler for getting the highest score for week 8 and being our only 200+ point scorer of the week. A not-so-brief word about RazzBowl7 after Week 10: As soon as our regular season ends, we have playoffs! How do they work?
Less standard:
After Week 10, the top three teams from each division advance to the Championship level of Round 1 of the Playoffs, and the teams ranked 4-6 from each division advance to the Wild Card level. Essentially, the top 60 teams are in the championship tier, and the teams from 61-120 are in the wildcard tier.

From weeks 11 through 13, teams in these tiers collect a scoring average that is added to the regular season weekly scoring average (weeks 1 through 10).
At the end of Week 13, the top 30 from the Championship Tier will remain there for Round 2 in Week 14 and will be joined by the top 6 from the Wild Card Tier. The bottom 30 from the Championship level advance to the Wild Card level, while the teams from Round 1 are ranked 7-46 from the Wild Card level.
The bottom 14 of the Round 1 Wild Card tier are eliminated.
