Bireley (BYE-err-lee) will work closely with Neander and the club’s four vice presidents and assistant general managers on logistics, contracts and general Major League oversight, while serving as a liaison between the Rays and Major League Baseball for rules and regulatory compliance. She has spent the past three seasons since 2023 as Assistant Director of Baseball Operations, having previously held the roles of Manager, Baseball Operations (2022), Manager, Baseball Administration (2019-21) and Administrator, Amateur Scouting (2014-18) during her 12-year tenure in the Rays Baseball Operations Department.
