The Toronto Raptors visit the Orlando Magic on Friday, January 30, with tip-off at 6:30 PM ET at the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida. Toronto comes in with a 29-20 record and is fourth in the Eastern Conference, while Orlando is 24-22 and in eighth place.

Toronto is coming off a 92-119 road loss to the New York Knicks on Jan. 28 after defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder 103-101 three days earlier. Orlando split its final two games, defeating the Miami Heat 133-124 on January 28 before a 98-114 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on January 26.

Injuries remain a factor for both teams, although neither side is dealing with a long list of absences from the rotation. The Raptors have several players unavailable due to G League assignments, including Chucky Hepburn, AJ Lawson and Alijah Martin.

Toronto’s most notable injury problem is Jakob Poeltl, who remains sidelined with lower back issues. The starting center is averaging 9.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and shooting 69.3% from the field, making his absence important for interior defense and rebounding.

Despite Poeltl’s absence, Toronto continues to rely on its core starters. Scottie Barnes is averaging 19.4 points, 8.3 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game, while Brandon Ingram leads the team in scoring at 21.7 points per game. Immanuel Quickley adds 16.9 points and 6.1 assists, providing stability in the backcourt.

Orlando’s injury report is lighter but still notable. Colin Castleton is unavailable on a two-way assignment in the G League, while Franz Wagner is listed as he recovers from treatment for a high left ankle sprain.

Wagner’s absence affects the Magic’s offensive balance. He is averaging 22.2 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game, ranking among Orlando’s top scorers alongside Paolo Banchero, who leads the team with 21.9 points and 8.8 rebounds per game.

The Magic will lean on Banchero and Desmond Bane, who are averaging 19.0 points per game, to generate offense. Anthony Black also plays a key role, contributing 15.8 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game while defending multiple positions.

Toronto won the first meeting between the teams this season, defeating Orlando 107-106 at home on December 29, 2025.
